The Museum of Ethnography and Ecology of the Carpathian Region in Yaremche was founded in 1963 on the initiative of local historian M. Muzych, who collected a collection of ethnographic works, historical and natural materials. Until 1993, it was called the Museum of Partisan Glory, as the main exposition covered the activities of S. Kovpak's partisan unit in the Carpathians during the Second World War. Then there was an exposition dedicated to the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people, which told about the creation of the USS Legion, UGA, youth organization "Plast", the activities of the OUN, the struggle of the UPA and the division "SS Galicia". Since 2007, the museum has become a branch of the Kolomyia Museum of Folk Art. An exposition dedicated to Hutsul ethnoculture has opened.

The private museum of family professions was created by journalist Roman Fabryka. The exposition tells about 150 different professions that the collector's family has been engaged in for the last 200 years. Among them were beekeepers, architects, blacksmiths, doctors, builders, geologists, miners, musicians, agronomists, zootechnicians, teachers, gardeners and others. Various professional tools, devices, mechanisms and devices are presented - from a plow to a computer.

National Museum of Folk Art of Hutsul and Pokuttya named after Josaphat Kobrynsky is located in the premises of the former People's House, built in 1902 at the expense of the Ukrainian community of the city. The Viennese Neo-Renaissance building was designed by local architects who studied in Krakow. The creation of the People's House with a theater and museum in 1880 was initiated by the local priest Josaphat Kobrynsky, who played an important role in the formation of Ukrainian national identity in Pokut. The museum was opened in 1926 by the efforts of his nephew V. Kobrynsky, having survived the difficult Polish period, the German occupation, Soviet repression and post-perestroika devastation. Now the collection includes 50,000 exhibits representing all kinds of traditional folk art of Hutsuls and inhabitants of Pokuttya: wood carving, blacksmithing, pottery, weaving, embroidery, etc. Widely presented samples of traditional clothing of mountaineers, Hutsul jewelry made of non-ferrous and precious metals, weapons opryshki and others. There is a permanent exhibition of tapestries by Mykhailo Bilas.

The Museum of History and Liberation Struggle named after the General Cornet of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army Roman Shukhevych was opened in 2004 in the village of Tyshkivtsi, where his great-grandfather O. Shukhevych served as a priest. The exposition in several rooms of the museum tells about several generations of the Shukhevych family (O. Shukhevych, V. Shukhevych, R. Shukhevych) and about the participation of the villagers in the liberation struggle. The exposition "Underground Printing House" is presented in the reconstructed hiding place in the basement.

The museum of humor "Vesela oselya" in Kolomyia was opened in 2011 by the famous writer-humorist, Honored Artist of Ukraine M. Savchuk. Cartoonist I. Bezhuk designed many illustrations. The exposition presents Ukrainian and world humor, satire, caricatures. There are humorous souvenirs and photos here; albums of humorous playing cards, business cards, calendars, certificates, banknotes; cartoon postcards; humorous map of Ukraine, funny clock. Humor Center "Vesela oselya", in addition to the museum exhibition, has a large library (books, albums, magazines), video and music library. There is also a "Green Booth" with cartoons of world politicians and original funny postcards from around the world.

The Museum of Hutsul Magic is located in one of the recreation complexes on the outskirts of Verkhovyna, which is considered the informal capital of the Hutsul region. Its purpose is to preserve the memory of famous Carpathian healers and seers, who are called molfars here. The museum presents things that were used by molfar magicians and that tell about ancient Hutsul magic. On the basis of the museum there are also master classes on making original teaspoons from wood, spinning threads from wool, mirror calligraphy.

In a small house in the center of Halych, a museum of the history and culture of the Karaite people - a small ethnic group, the origin of which is the subject of long-standing scientific controversy. Probably a small group of Karaites moved to Halych from the Crimea in the thirteenth century. Reliable information about the Karaite colony in Galicia belongs to the sixteenth century. The exposition of the museum acquaints visitors with the religious and cultural traditions of the Karaites, social and everyday life of the Karaite society of Halych.

The Museum of Oilfields of Galicia was opened in 2013 in the village of Pniv near Nadvirna, which is one of the centers of Ukrainian oil production and refining. Industrial oil production in the Carpathians began in 1771, when they began to extract brine en masse from a well in Sloboda-Rungurska in the Kolomyia region. The oil museum is located on the territory of the Training and Course Plant of the Nadvirnaftogaz Oil and Gas Production Department. The exposition consists of two parts. The museum premises present archival materials, photographs, models of oil fields. Industrial equipment and models from the first drilling and oil production facilities of the 17th century are exhibited in the open-air museum territory. to modern equipment.

The house-museum of the film "Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors" in the Verkhovyna settlement of Glyph was opened in 2000 in the house where in 1963-64. lived during the filming of the film director S. The Museum of the History of Ancient Halych is located in the former Metropolitan Chambers - an architectural monument of the eighteenth century. After the destruction of ancient Halych by the Tatars in the XIII century. and the transfer of the capital of Galicia to Kholm, then to Lviv, the former prince's child remained the residence of the Galician metropolitans. In particular, there was a summer residence of Metropolitan Andriy Sheptytsky, with the help of which in 1937 archaeologist J. Pasternak founded the first museum of ancient Halych. Initially, the exposition of finds from excavations in the village of Krylos was located in the chapel of St. Basil. In the 1990s, the exhibition was moved to the restored premises of the Metropolitan Chambers. Here are the tools of the Copper, Bronze and Iron Ages, ancient weapons, including the ancient Rus princely sword of the XII century.

The museum of the Kosiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts was founded in 1936 by the first director of the Kosiv Art and Industrial School O. Solomchenko. The Museum of the Liberation Struggle of the Pokut Region was opened in Zabolotov in 2007 to mark the 65th anniversary of the UPA. The exposition is located in five halls. The exhibits are conditionally divided into two sections. The historical department tells about the armed struggle of the Pokuts against the occupation regimes in the 1920s and 1950s. In particular, the reconstruction of the situation of the insurgents' bunker is presented. Original documents and photographs cover the history of the liberation movement in Pokut. In addition, the museum has a small ethnographic exhibition.

The exposition dedicated to political prisoners is represented by a map of the Gulag camps and household items of prisoners. A memorial complex "Demyaniv Laz" was built on the site of the execution of the victims of Stalin's terror.
