Boryslav Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1987 on the initiative of local historian M. Kryzhanovsky. It is located in the building of the former NKVD unit, where victims of repression were shot during the establishment of Soviet power in the region. The museum has more than 5,000 exhibits. The Department of Nature presents minerals, flora and fauna of Prykarpattia. The most interesting exhibits of the historical department: fragments of an ancient Russian bracelet and silver hryvnia, a wooden barrel for grain made of solid wood, a fire pump of the late XIX century, tools and personal belongings of oil producers, a painting by German artist R. Volkel "Old Borislav". Paintings by contemporary artists are on display.

The wooden church of St. George is one of the brightest works of Galician folk architecture. It is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in the category "Wooden Churches of the Carpathian Region of Ukraine". Belongs to the end of XV - beginning of XVI century. Brought to Drohobych from the Carpathian village. Nadeevo in 1656 and was installed on the site of the burned predecessor. In 1678 the bell tower was built. The interior is painted with magnificent frescoes by S. Meditsky, the ancient carved iconostasis has been preserved. The church has been renovated several times, but has not lost its original appearance. Currently, part of the exposition of the Museum of History and Local Lore is located here. The rest of the exposition is located in the neighboring wooden church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (1613)

The wooden three-log church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Drohobych is considered one of the best buildings in the style of Galician folk architecture. The church was founded in the XVI century, but as a result of construction in 1661 it lost its original appearance. Preserved monumental tempera painting of the XVII century. and unique examples of icon painting of the XV-XVIII centuries. Located in the suburbs of Zvarychi, on the territory of the fire department. Nearby is a wooden bell tower of the XVII century.

The Historical Department, the Department of Nature and the administration of the Drohobych Museum are located in the former building of the Drohobych County Council (1894). The exposition of the museum, opened in 1940, was based on the collections of Count Lyantskoronsky, the Hirovsky Jesuit School, as well as part of the collection of the Sambir Museum. In particular, the oldest pottery in the Carpathians, bronze treasure of the Early Iron Age, a certificate confirming Drohobych Magdeburg law, scales for weighing salt, public cash register of the XVI century, a collection of coins of the XIV-XIX centuries. etc. To mark the 60th anniversary of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, a diorama-model "Insurgent Hideout" was opened, which was made according to the description of the UPA commander S. Stebelsky.

Drohobych Saltworks is a museum enterprise that has been operating continuously since the 13th century. to this day. It is considered one of the oldest permanent industrial enterprises in the world and the oldest in Ukraine. The saltworks in Drohobych was first mentioned in 1250. Since then, she has been working continuously in the same place - near the salt brine lakes, from which salt is extracted by evaporation. It was around this enterprise that the city of Drohobych developed, becoming a significant industrial and commercial center of Galicia. The saltworks flourished in Austrian times. The technical base in Soviet times was updated, salt production reached 10-11 thousand tons per year, but now the technology has returned to the artisanal level, the general condition of the old shops is a cause for concern. Until recently, the plant was leased by CJSC "Drohobych-Galka", but in 2013 the company was returned to state ownership. It is planned to build a new shop and create a museum on the basis of old production facilities. Excursions are available by prior arrangement.

The Museum of the Sambir-Drohobych Eparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church was opened in Truskavets near the Church of St. Nicholas. The exposition tells about the life and work of prominent figures of the Catholic Church of the Eastern Rite, such as Archbishop I. Kuntsevich, Metropolitan A. Sheptytsky, Patriarch J. Slipiy. Ancient books, church utensils, other objects of sacred art are presented. The Ivan Franko Literary Memorial Museum-Estate was established in the writer's homeland in the village of Nahujevychi. Here he was born in 1856 in the family of a blacksmith, spent his childhood, and then repeatedly returned to his native place. In his works, he vividly described his childhood memories when he spent time as a child in his parents' smithy. The first exhibition was opened in 1946 in a small house of the writer's nephew. Later, on the site of Frank's estate, according to his descriptions and photographs, his parents' house with cozy rooms was recreated. In the colorful yard - stable, smithy, barn with tools and apiary. Opposite is the building of the Literary Memorial Museum with an exhibition of the first editions of the writer's works, next to which is the sculptural group "Ivan Franko and World Literature". Wooden carved sculptures symbolizing the ideals, literary heroes and close people of the writer are installed at the entrance to Nahujevychi, as well as in the Frankish Garden.

The pharmacy-museum of the world-famous inventor of industrial oil refining Johann Zeg opened in 2021 in the city park of culture and recreation of Boryslav, is still a leading center of the oil industry of Galicia. Here is one of the largest deposits of ozokerite, ie mountain paraffin, which has medicinal properties. The exposition of the museum acquaints visitors with the history of Galician pharmaceuticals, experiments on oil distillation, extraction and use of ozokerite, prominent figures of Boryslav and the life of Johann Zeg. In particular, a model of a distiller is presented - a device for dividing oil into fractions, as well as a collection of pharmacy bars and kerosene lamps of different eras.

The Museum of the History of the Oil, Ozokerite and Gas Refining Industries was founded in Boryslav in 1972 at the Palace of Oil Culture. In 2003, an updated exposition was opened in the administrative building of NMU "Borislavnaftogaz" (5th floor). The exposition of the museum room acquaints visitors with the history of the development of Boryslav oil production - the oldest oil industry in Ukraine. The museum presents tools, industrial equipment, samples of raw materials and products, household items, numismatic materials (coins, medals, orders, badges), photos of old Borislav. An interesting collection of kerosene and oil lamps, current models of drilling rigs.

The Art Museum, dedicated to the work of the outstanding master of folk and applied arts Mykhailo Bilas, was established in 1992 during the artist's lifetime. Occupies the premises of an elegant wooden villa "Goplyana" (1928), made in the Polish folk style of Zakopane. It used to be the summer residence of the resort's mayor R. Yarosh. Bilas became famous as a master of textile plastics, figurative toys, the author of unsurpassed plot panels and applications. The exposition includes unique carpets, tapestries, bedspreads, Art Nouveau towels with bright folklore motifs created in a single copy.

The Palace of Arts "Villa Bianchi" in Drohobych is a striking example of the architectural style of the Secession (Viennese Art Nouveau). XIX - beg. XX century The ornate dark green two-story building belonged to Dr. Roth, a radiologist. The house is described in B. Schultz's short story "Spring" as "Villa Bianca". Now it is the building of the Palace of Arts, which belongs to the Drohobych Museum and is used as an exhibition center. Here are the wall paintings by B. Schultz, discovered in 2001 at the "Villa Landau" in Drohobych. Thematic exhibition "Treasures of Count Lyantskoronsky" presents more than 150 items of highly artistic works of fine and decorative arts. Also presented Ukrainian painting of the twentieth century.

The high clock tower of the current Drohobych town hall rose above the city in 1927, when Drohobych returned to the Polish state, but the traditions of self-government in the city are much older. Drohobych received the Magdeburg right in 1460, and then the first wooden town hall was built. By 1829, this building was very old and unusable, so a new town hall was built in the Austrian style - this time of stone. The need for a new building arose after the First World War. I. Semkovich and M. Nikodymovych became the architects of the project. The three-storey house is surrounded by a small courtyard. The main room is a marble meeting room. The building houses the Museum of Libra, which has more than 500 exhibits. There is also the Tourist Information Center of Drohobych, which, in particular, organizes tours of the town hall tower, which allows you to see the clock mechanism and see the best panorama of the city.
