Museum of artistic woodworking

The Museum of Art Woodworking was established on the basis of the Art Vocational School №14 in Ivano-Frankivsk. The exposition began to take shape in 1958, when the school was still operating in Yavoriv. The museum exhibits many decorative plates decorated with Yavoriv ornaments, flat-relief carvings, relief carvings, openwork-relief carvings; candlesticks; Yavoriv boxes; pendants from various plates; furniture with Yavoriv carvings, including two chess tables with chess pieces. Numerous easel carvings on fairy-tale themes, sculptural portraits of I. Franko and B. Khmelnytsky are presented.

Osip Makovei Manor-Museum

The museum-manor of Osip Makovei was established in the house where this outstanding Ukrainian poet, prose writer, satirist, publicist, teacher and public figure was born. The exposition is located in three halls: two rooms and halls. In one room are collected things of the Makovei family: furniture (chairs, table), utensils, embroidered shirts, toys. In another - photos of Joseph with family and friends; his letters, books; portraits. Household items are presented in the halls. Makovei studied at the Ukrainian Gymnasium in Lviv and at the Faculty of Philology of Lviv University. He was the editor of the Zorya magazine, the Bukovyna newspaper, and one of the editors of the Literary-Scientific Bulletin. In 1901 he received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy for the study of the works of Panteleimon Kulish. During the First World War of 1914-18 he served as a military translator for the Austrian army, chief of postal censorship, and later in a radio group. In the postwar period he worked as the director of the teacher's seminary in Zalishchyky. Macovei maintained friendly relations with I. Franko, L. Ukrainka and other writers. He began his literary career in the late 80's of the XIX century under the pseudonyms: Spectator, O. Stepanovych.

Roztocze Museum of Nature

The Museum of Nature in Ivano-Frankivsk is located on the territory of the administration of the Roztocze Nature Reserve and showcases the flora and fauna of this region. The museum presents collections of invertebrates and vertebrates, rare and listed in the Red Book of plant and animal species. Stands with Roztocze rocks and minerals, lichens and mosses, fruits and seeds, pathogenic fungi are presented. In banks with formalin "swim" fish, viper and so on. In the corner of the room - stuffed animals of wild animals: red deer, badger, wild boar. The collection of birds includes 45 species. Valuable in the museum is a collection of butterflies and beetles Roztocze entomologist G. Filik, which has more than 250 species, 15 of which are listed in the Red Book. On the territory there is a conference hall, tennis court, riding area, places for rest. Seedlings for sale.

Sudova Vyshnya Museum of the History of the City

The Museum of the History of the Judicial Cherry is located in the historic building of the People's House (XIX century). In 1897, the writer Ivan Franko spoke here, as evidenced by a plaque. The museum exposition has 350 original exhibits that cover the history of the city from ancient times to the present day. In the archeological collection: fragments of mammoth tusks, flint axes, sickles, fragments of pottery, clay female statuettes, etc. A separate exhibition is dedicated to the polemicist writer I. Vyshensky, a native of Sudova Vyshna.

Yavorivshchyna Historical and Ethnographic Museum

The Yavorivshchyna Historical and Ethnographic Museum was opened in 1927-1933 on the initiative of the Native School Circle. Dr. M. Filtz, artist O. Kharkiv, and others became active devotees of the museum business. After the Second World War, the museum fell into disrepair. In 2002, an updated exhibition was opened. Today the funds of the historical and ethnographic museum "Yavorivshchyna" have 351 exhibits. The museum exposition is located in four rooms and is conditionally divided into sections: "Spinning and weaving", "Household items", "Ancient Yavoriv burden", "Folk crafts of Yavoriv region", "Archaeological monuments and numismatics". The exposition of V. Patyk's works "Wooden Churches of Yavoriv Region" has artistic value. The pride of the museum is the library, which is constantly replenished.
