The city of Sudovaya Vishnya in the valley of the river. Cherry is located on the Lvov-Shegini highway, 30 km from the Ukrainian-Polish border. Known since 1230. The remains of a boyar castle were found at the ancient settlement of the ancient Russian city of Vishny. In the XV-XVI centuries. here the seims of the Polish gentry were held, at which litigations were considered, therefore in 1545 the city received its present name. The outstanding Ukrainian writer-polemicist I. Vishensky was born here (a monument is erected). The Museum of the History of the Judicial Cherry is located in the historic building of the People's House (XIX century). In 1897, the writer Ivan Franko spoke here, as evidenced by a plaque. The museum exposition has 350 original exhibits that cover the history of the city from ancient times to the present day. In the archeological collection: fragments of mammoth tusks, flint axes, sickles, fragments of pottery, clay female statuettes, etc. A separate exhibition is dedicated to the polemicist writer I. Vyshensky, a native of Sudova Vyshna.
