The Gorokhiv Historical Museum was founded in 1967 as a museum of revolutionary, military and labor glory. The organizer and first director was local historian O. Maksymenko. The exposition is located in a two-story building and has the following main sections: "Formation of Ukrainian statehood", "Gorokhiv region in the Second World War", ethnographic. The museum has opened a number of exhibitions, among them: "Rehabilitated by history", a photo exhibition dedicated to the anniversary of Independence of Ukraine "My Native Peas".

The center of traditional culture "Honey House" was opened in Lutsk on the initiative of the Volyn brotherhood of beekeepers "Swarm state". The center tells about the ancient culture of beekeeping, production and use of honey and honey cosmetics. Two halls for 50 seats. There are tours with tastings. Beekeeping products are offered: honey of different grades, honey drinks (mead, drinking honey), cosmetics, apitherapy products.

The Igor Stravinsky Museum in Ustyluh was opened in a house that the composer built according to his own project in 1907. Ustyluh became the birthplace of three generations of the Stravinsky creative family. Composer Igor Stravinsky lived in Ustyluh from 1892 to 1914, where he married his cousin E. Nosenko, he called this city "a paradise for creativity." It was here that he created the ballets "Fire Bird" (1910), "Parsley" (1912), "Holy Spring" (1913), which reflected the musical folklore of Volhynia. Most of the premises of Stravinsky's house, built according to his own project, are now occupied by a children's music school with a concert hall. The museum is located on the ground floor in the left wing. In four halls there are materials that tell about the life and creative path of the genius composer, his stay in Ustyluh, his last visit to the Soviet Union. In particular, you can see the piano on which Stravinsky played.

The Kivertsi Museum of Local Lore was founded in 2009. The exposition presents more than 900 exhibits that tell about the history of the region from ancient times to the present. Art exhibitions, excursions, master classes on folk art are held.

Kovel Historical Museum is located in the central city park, named after Lesya Ukrainka. The exposition tells about the history of Kovel region from ancient times to the present day: weapons and jewelry of the XI-XIV centuries, objects of the Cossack era, the current blacksmith's fur and anvil of the late XIX century, blacksmith mechanism of the early twentieth century. Traditional folk costumes of the region's inhabitants of the XIX-XX centuries are presented. A monument to Lesya Ukrainka has been erected nearby in the park.

A 19th-century building in the center of Lutsk, next to Lubart's Castle, where the Kosach literary family lived in 1890-1891. This was the last period of her stay in the city of Lesya Ukrainka, who was already seriously ill at that time. The office apartment of P. Kosach (Lesya's father) was located on the second floor. In 2007, the Lesina Living Room Museum was opened here. Here is the office of the Historical and Cultural Reserve "Old Town". You can get to the museum by prior arrangement with the administration.

The Lesia Ukrainka Literary Memorial Museum (Larysa Kosach) was opened on the territory of the Kosach family estate near Kovel. Here the future poetess spent her childhood and adolescence, from 1882 to 1897. Her talent was formed under the influence of legends of the Volyn region, which were told to her by her mother - the writer Olena Pchilka (Olga Kosach). Here Lesya Ukrainka began her career, writing about 80 works: & quot; Lily of the Valley & quot ;, & quot; Sappho & quot ;, & quot; Mermaid & quot ;, & quot; Singer & quot ;, & quot; Prisoner & quot; etc. The & quot; White House & quot; with a solarium on the roof of the veranda, built especially for Lesya by his father - Peter Kosach, as well as & quot; Gray House & quot; the father himself. The authentic atmosphere was recreated in the houses, Kosach's personal belongings were exhibited. The Lesia Ukrainka Literary Memorial Museum is currently located on the site of a large manor house.

Lutsk Castle of Prince Lubart is one of the most powerful fortresses in Volyn, a business card of Lutsk. The upper castle existed on top of the hill since the time of the Rurikoviches. In its present form, a typical European medieval feudal castle was built in 1340-85 by the Lithuanian-Russian prince Lubart. It became the residence of the Volyn princes, and for some time - the capital of the Galicia-Volyn state. Fortified in 1430-1542 during the reign of Prince Svidrigail. The Lutsk Castle complex includes the Entrance, Styrov and Vladych Towers, surrounded by walls. Inside are the noble and episcopal houses. The foundations and dungeons of the Cathedral of St. John the Theologian of the 12th century, in which Prince Lubart and many other Volyn rulers were buried, have been preserved. Several museums have been opened on the territory of Lutsk Castle: paintings, bells, building ceramics, printing, weapons. The castle is constantly being restored, archeological excavations are being carried out on the territory.

The Museum of Technical Progress was opened in 2013 in the premises of the sports and recreation complex "Adrenaline City". More than 1000 exhibits tell about the most interesting inventions of mankind from the simplest devices to the present day. The museum also presents a chronograph with illustrations and samples of the most important inventions of mankind. Considerable attention is paid to the period of intensive development of radio engineering, photo and video equipment, communication systems. Real exhibits are presented: cameras, film cameras, TVs, computers of different generations, watches, etc.

The picturesque tract Nechymne with a lake in the middle of a protected forest is described by Lesya Ukrainka in the poem "Forest Song". There was a forest estate, where young Lesya spent the summer months visiting Uncle Leo - the prototype of one of the characters of the famous drama extravaganza. It was from him that the future poetess heard many fairy tales about monkeys, mermaids, foresters and other characters of folklore. Today there is a small museum house, Uncle Lev's well, a gallery of wooden sculptures. The lake itself is almost completely overgrown, cleaning works are not carried out.

The open-air museum of the history of Volyn agriculture (open-air museum) is located on the territory of the local dendrological park. The life of Volyn peasants of the 19th century is recreated here. There are 12 old wooden architectural structures on a small territory: a church, a mill, a smithy, white and dusty houses, outbuildings, etc. All exhibits are valid, visitors are offered to use tools and household items. By prior arrangement, the museum staff in ethnic costumes will heat the stoves, prepare a peasant dinner, organize folk festivals and ancient rites. A regular tour is available without prior reservation.

The Volyn Regional Museum of the Ukrainian Army and Military Equipment was established on the initiative of the public organization Dzherela. The museum is located on the territory of a military town in the center of Lutsk, in the premises built in 1925. The exposition presents 50 samples of military equipment and weapons. The permanent exhibition "Pages of Military History of the Volyn Region" has been opened.

The museum represents the regional school of Volyn icon painting. The creation of the collection is associated with the name of art critic Pavel Zholtovsky, who led the scientific expeditions of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore in the 1980s to study and collect historical and cultural material in the temples of Volyn. The exhibition presents more than 1.5 thousand works of sacred art, including about 600 icons of the Volyn art school of the XVI-XVIII centuries, works of metal, decorative carvings and sculptures. One of the most valuable exhibits is the Byzantine icon of the Kholm Mother of God (XI-XII centuries). According to legend, it was written in Jerusalem by the apostle-evangelist Luke. It was the ancestral shrine of Prince Danylo Halytsky.
