Museum of the Forest Song
Museum / gallery
The picturesque tract Nechymne with a lake in the middle of a protected forest is described by Lesya Ukrainka in the poem "Forest Song". There was a forest estate, where young Lesya spent the summer months visiting Uncle Leo - the prototype of one of the characters of the famous drama extravaganza. It was from him that the future poetess heard many fairy tales about monkeys, mermaids, foresters and other characters of folklore. Today there is a small museum house, Uncle Lev's well, a gallery of wooden sculptures. The lake itself is almost completely overgrown, cleaning works are not carried out.
