The Brovary Museum of Local Lore is housed in a modern building in the city center. In 6 exposition halls there are collections that tell about the nature of the region, its history and ethnography. The historical and archeological exposition in particular tells about the times of the Cossacks and about the stay of the poet T. Shevchenko in the Brovary region. Among the events of the XX century. the liberation struggle of Ukrainians from 1917 to the end of the Second World War is covered in detail. Separate windows are dedicated to the period of collectivization, the Holodomor of 1932-33, the work of the outstanding teacher O. Makarenko in Brovary Children's Labor Colony № 5 in 1936-37. Also exhibited are works by local artists, models of destroyed Brovary churches.

The Mikhail Bulgakov Museum was opened in the so-called "Turbins House", where the writer lived from 1906 to 1919 and where he "settled" the heroes of the novel "White Guard". The interiors of the rooms are reproduced in the form in which they are reflected in Bulgakov's photographs and descriptions: a grand living room with a piano, a medical office, a room for the writer's sister Varya, as well as a room for Bulgakov himself and the hero of Mykolka's novel. apartment N50 from the novel "The Master and Margarita". The effect of the "fifth dimension" is especially impressive - from the dining room through the mirror you can see the room where Alexei Turbin died, and in real life - Bulgakov's father. The exposition presents many Bulgakov's relics collected by the writer's relatives and enthusiasts. Tea parties are arranged for visitors on the veranda.

The Bykivnia Graves National Historical and Memorial Reserve was established at the site of the mass burial of victims of the political repressions of 1937-41. In Stalin's time, a special purpose NKVD facility was located near the village of Bykivnia (now within Kyiv near the Kyiv-Brovary highway), where executed Kyivans, Polish officers, and other victims of Bolshevik terror were secretly buried. In particular, prisoners of Kyiv prisons, who were shot after the German attack on the USSR, were hastily buried here. According to preliminary data published in Soviet times, 6,783 victims of repression are buried near Bykivnia, but the actual number may be several times higher. Research continues today. A monument to the victims of repressions has been erected at the entrance to the Bykivnia Graves Memorial. Funeral services are held every year in mid-May.

The M17 Center for Contemporary Art occupies 2 floors, its area is 1600 sq.m. The art center provides support and production of Ukrainian contemporary art. Exhibitions of young and leading artists of Ukraine are held in the halls.

The Center of Ukrainian Culture and Arts in Kyiv was established in 2005 to revive national customs and traditions. Children are taught the technique and culture of embroidery, weaving, painting and other arts and crafts, as well as acquainted with ancient customs and rituals. The mansion of the forest industrialist S. Mohyltsev in Pechersk Lypky is nicknamed the "Chocolate House" for the color and texture of the exterior walls. The author of the project is called the academician of architecture V. Nikolaev. Unique interiors are made in different artistic styles (modern, renaissance, gothic, baroque). In Soviet times, the house was used as a residential, then as a city wedding palace. Today, the Chocolate House is a branch of the Kyiv National Art Gallery.

The National Museum "Chornobyl" is a multifunctional historical and cultural institution that preserves and tells the story of the nuclear accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in 1986 as the most severe radioecological catastrophe of the twentieth century. The museum was opened in 1992 at the initiative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine in the historic building of the Fire Tower of the early XX century, which originally housed the Podolsk Fire Department, and later the Kyiv Regional Fire Department, which coordinated the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident.
The exposition covers an area of 1100 square meters has more than 7 thousand exhibits: declassified documents, secret cards, photographs, special devices, personal belongings of the liquidators, items from the exclusion zone. Perceptions are expanded by modern audiovisual and information media, art installations. The current three-phase diorama "Chernobyl NPP before, during and after the accident" is presented, as well as the current model of the 4th power unit of the Chernobyl NPP. The electronic "Book of Memory of the participants of the liquidation of the Chernobyl accident" is supported. The museum offers excursions in Ukrainian, Russian, English and German, audio guides, tours to the Chornobyl zone from the museum's partners.

The Museum of Cinema was established in 2015 on the basis of the National Center of Oleksandr Dovzhenko - the state film archive of feature films of Ukraine, which also includes the state film copying laboratory. The museum is located on the 5th floor of the Dovzhenko Center building. Its purpose is to popularize Ukrainian and world cinema, systematize information about its history, museification of film archive funds, paper and material artifacts.

Museum of the National Film Studio O. Dovzhenko invites you to get acquainted with the work of the legend of Ukrainian cinema - film director Oleksandr Dovzhenko. On the territory of the film studio the atmosphere of the director's personal office is recreated: a table under a green cloth, an old telephone, an openwork lamp. The exposition presents Dovzhenko's personal belongings, rare posters of his films, declassified documents from party archives. Only group excursions are conducted.

The museum of the famous folk artist Kateryna Bilokur was created in a village house in Bohdanivka, where she lived almost all her life - from 1909 to 1961. Here she began to paint in her unique, unique style. The lack of a high school diploma did not allow her to receive an art education, but it was replaced by natural talent, perseverance and love of art. She independently mastered the technique of painting and compositional skills, finding herself in the genre of still life. Bilokur's paintings have been exhibited at many regional and national exhibitions. The interiors of the house-museum are preserved, the artist's personal belongings, numerous photographs and documents, as well as some paintings are presented. A monument to Kateryna Bilokur has been erected in front of the house.

The ethnographic complex "Ukrainian Village" is located on the edge of the forest near the pond. The open-air exposition presents traditional residential and farm buildings from different historical and ethnographic zones of Ukraine. Visitors are greeted by the existing church of St. Demetrius of Thessaloniki, from which the creation of the complex began. Now during the tour you can see the authentic interiors of six old houses, transported from different regions of Ukraine: Hutsul, South, Podillya, Polissya, Middle Dnieper and Slobozhanshchina. And also to visit a pottery workshop, a smithy and a distillery, a bakery, etc. Special attention of children is attracted by a mini-zoo with pets: sheep, piglets, rabbits. All animals can be fed by buying food in a gift shop. There you can buy various products made of natural materials. For recreation, as well as celebrations and corporate events there are gazebos with barbecues on the pond, a dining room for 130 people, a conference hall, a hotel. According to preliminary applications, ethno trainings are conducted.

The Museum of Railway Transport, which opened in 2011 at the Kyiv-Pasazhyrskyi station, presents an exhibition of rolling stock of historical locomotives and carriages. The museum covers various stages of development of railway transport in Ukraine: pre-revolutionary, Soviet and modern. The exposition presents three steam locomotives (series L, Er, СО17), four passenger and four freight cars, a water column and an operating traffic light. Of great interest is the equipment of saloon cars for senior officials: the personal car of the First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party V. Shcherbytsky (1957) and the car of the Prime Minister of the Russian Empire P. Stolypin (1910), on which he arrived in Kiev in fateful 1911, where he was killed.

Fastiv Museum of Local Lore is located in the historic building of the bank (late XIX century), which is an example of the so-called borderless architecture in "brick" style. The museum was founded in 1990, although its collection began to be created in the 1970s. The current exhibition is based on the results of archaeological research, ethnographic expeditions, searches in the archives. Among the materials of the historical department there are rare archival and photographic materials, as well as historical objects that tell about the stay in the Fastiv Directory of the UPR, the battle near Motovylivka, the Unification of the UPR and ZUNR and other events. Of particular interest is the current model of the railway and other exhibits about the one and a half century history of the Fastiv railway.

The Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of the Middle Dnieper Region is the first and one of the largest open-air museums in Ukraine. It was founded in 1964 on the initiative of historian and ethnographer Mykhailo Sikorsky. It is a part of the National Historical and Ethnographic Reserve "Pereyaslav".
The building of the museum imitates the planning of a classic Ukrainian village with a square in the middle. There are about 300 exhibits in the picturesque park area of 25 hectares on the outskirts of Pereyaslav. Almost half of them are authentic wooden temples, peasant houses and windmills of the XVII-XIX centuries, transported here from different parts of the region. 20 peasant yards with residential and farm buildings represent the life of representatives of various professions and segments of the population of Dnieper Ukraine - from the house of a poor peasant to the hunting lodge of Count Gorchakov. The interiors feature more than 20,000 exhibits: works of folk artists, tools, household items, archaeological materials, documents, photographs.
Among the most valuable architectural monuments: the Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin (early XVII century) and the bell tower (mid-XVIII century) from the Right Bank Kyiv region; the Church of St. George (mid-18th century) from the Pereyaslav region, immortalized by Taras Shevchenko in the sepia "Andrusha"; forest border - a house of forest protection (late XIX century) from Kyiv Polissya; inn (early XIX century.) from the city of Pereyaslav.
There are 13 thematic museums in some monuments and exposition pavilions: Museum of the History of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Museum of Decorative and Applied Arts of Kyiv Region, Museum of Ukrainian Rites, Museum of Ukrainian Towel, Museum of the History of Forestry of the Middle Dnieper Region, Museum of the History of Beekeeping of the Middle Dnieper Region. Post Office Museum, Museum of the History of National Land Transport of the Middle Dnieper Region, Space Museum, Mykola Benardos Museum, Museum of the Classics of Jewish Literature Sholom Aleichem, Museum of Memory of Polissya District.
The archeological department exhibits reconstructions of dwellings of the Late Paleolithic, Chernyakhiv culture, Ancient Kyiv, Cossack era, as well as lapidary with stone stelae and burial structures of different epochs. The decoration of the museum is the natural landscape of the Tatar mountain, with skillfully inscribed in it artificial ponds, streets, courtyards, gardens, orchards and pastures, which give it vitality and special comfort.

The historical exposition of the Vyshhorod Historical and Cultural Reserve is presented in the ancient "Klyukva House". This is a two-storey residential building, which was built in 1905 by Corporal Ivan Shkolny, nicknamed Klyukva. According to legend, at the end of the XIX century Klyukva began to collect various antiquities, which were then often found in the Vyshgorod region. Later, this house was used as a village council, school, dormitory. Since 1995, it belongs to the Vyshgorod Historical and Cultural Reserve.
The basis of the exposition of the historical museum are the materials of archeological excavations on the settlement of Ancient Vyshgorod. In the archeological exposition you can see the oldest Easter egg in Ukraine (XI century), the seal of Prince Izyaslav Yaroslavych of the XI-XII centuries, a folding encolpion cross of the X century, fragments of a Scandinavian fibula of the first half of the X century. The wall panel "Ancient Vyshhorod of the XII-XIII centuries", made by the honored artist of Ukraine Henry Yagodkin, gives a clear idea of the medieval city. Classic methods of museum (showcase) display are complemented by innovative museum technologies: 3D-modeling, interactive maps, QR-codes.
