The Mykola Smolenchuk Bobrynets City Museum of Local Lore in the Kirovohrad Region is named after the Ukrainian writer, researcher of the life and work of the luminaries of the Mykola Smolenchuk Ukrainian Theater, who founded the institution in 1959. Now the museum has more than 5,500 exhibits. In particular, the archeological collection, household items of different epochs, ancient weapons and money are presented. The main exposition presents photos, documents, letters, invitations related to the figure of Marko Kropyvnytsky. Among the unique things - a shawl of the famous Ukrainian actress Maria Zankovetska, as well as furniture from the houses where the luminaries stopped during a tour in Bobrynets. Preserved authentic table, chair, mirror, gramophone. The "Ukrainian Room" hall tells about the traditional life of the region's inhabitants. The military hall presents materials about the Second World War and modern war in eastern Ukraine, and a corner in memory of the Hero of the Heavenly Hundred Viktor Chmilenko has been opened.

The Dobrovelychkivka Museum of Local Lore is located in the building of the former Zemstvo administration, built in 1892. The museum's funds include 5,000 objects of material and spiritual culture of the region, reflecting its history from ancient times (IV-III millennium BC) to the present day. 24 sections of the museum are located in 11 halls. In particular, interesting archaeological material on the history of settlement of these lands by the tribes of Trypillia culture (IV - III millennium BC) is presented. The collection of works of decorative and applied art, works of fine art of amateur artists and professional artists of Kirovohrad region deserve special attention.

One of the oldest and largest agricultural machinery plants in Europe, specializing in the production of drills. Founded by the English brothers Robert and Thomas Elworthy. The success of the plant, which in pre-revolutionary times worked more than half of the population of Yelisavetgrad, contributed to the development of the city. In Soviet times, it was renamed the "Red Star", whose products were known throughout the world. Currently, the plant has returned the historic name of Elworthy. After the restoration and overhaul of Elworthy's house in 1994, a museum of the plant was opened, which now has more than 3,500 exhibits.

The Mark Kropyvnytsky Memorial Museum was opened in 1982 in the building where the coryphaeus of the Ukrainian theater lived for almost 20 years. Here Daramturg wrote his classical plays, here in the early 1880's he formed the famous Ukrainian theater troupe. The museum's exposition consists of several sections that tell about the family of the playwright and actor, about his childhood and studies at the gymnasium and university, about his path in art as the founder of the first professional Ukrainian theater - the Theater of Coryphaeus. A monument to Kropyvnytskyi has been erected near the theater of luminaries.

The exposition of the Museum of Arts in Kropyvnytskyi is housed in a Art Nouveau building built at the end of the 19th century by order of merchant I. Shpolyansky. The question of creating an art museum in the city was first raised by the local intelligentsia in 1870, but the real work began only in 1921. The five halls feature exhibits from the Hermitage, the Tretyakov Gallery, Kyiv museums, as well as works by famous artists from Kropyvnytskyi.

The house of the merchant D. Barsky is a bright example of the "early modern" style. According to legend, the owner never had to live in it, because he died after completing all the work just on the doorstep of his new home. Today it houses the regional museum of local lore, founded in 1883 by the teacher of the Zemstvo real school V. Yastrebov. There are 4 stationary expositions that cover the history and nature of Kirovograd region. The basis of the collection is a collection of private collector O. Ilyin: archaeological finds, paintings, icons.

The Museum of Strategic Missile Forces in Pobuzhsky near Pervomaisk is unique and has no analogues in the world. The top-secret launch position of intercontinental ballistic missiles, which has been completely preserved since the Cold War, is open for visitors. The museum was established in 2001 on the basis of the disbanded 309th Regiment of the 46th Missile Division. The complex consists of a mine launcher RS-22A (SS-24 "Scalpel"), a unified underground command post, power unit, refrigeration center, barracks, security and utility rooms. On the territory you can see samples of rocket engines, rocket trucks, refueling tanks for rocket fuel, a model of a nuclear warhead, as well as R-12 and RS-20 missiles (SS-18 "Satan"). Excursions are conducted by officers who previously served on this base. By separate agreement, you can go down to the underground command post at a depth of 30 meters, where there was a "nuclear button".

The Novoarkhangelsk Museum of Local Lore in the Kirovohrad Region was founded in 2003 and is located in the building of the former Ukraina cinema on the central square of Novoarkhangelsk. The museum's collection includes more than 5,500 exhibits that tell about the history of the region from Paleolithic to modern times. In particular, collections of rocks and minerals, coins and banknotes are presented. The Hall of Arts acquaints visitors with the artistic heritage of the region - products of decorative and applied arts, paintings by local artists.

The Oleksandrivka Museum of Local Lore was opened in 1987. The first hall reflects the history of Oleksandrivka and the whole district from ancient times to 1917. The exposition about the Cossack era is especially interesting. for a campaign against Poland, as evidenced by numerous objects of the XVII century, found in Birki. Also interesting is the exposition "Ukrainian house of the early twentieth century", which presents various objects of folk life. The second hall is dedicated to the troubled times of 1920-30, when the Soviet-Ukrainian war, collectivization and the Holodomor were raging in the region. The history of the region during the Second World War is an exposition of the third hall. The fourth hall is dedicated to the history of the region in the postwar period and the present. There is a department of nature and an art department, where the works of local masters are presented.

The Olexandria City Museum Center named after Antonina Khudyakova was established in 1967. For a long time the museum worked on a voluntary basis, in 1991 it received the status of the state. It is named after A. Khudyakova, who was the director of the museum in 1980-91. The total number of exhibits of the main fund is more than 17,000 units. The exposition of the museum is located in two departments - historical and natural. In addition, the ethnography of the region is presented separately as a model of a Ukrainian house and various household items: utensils, household utensils, tools, etc. The museum keeps collections of paper money and coins of different epochs and countries, a selection of ancient photographs. Among the valuable exhibits of the museum are personal belongings, a spacesuit, devices, equipment for training and work at the orbital station of a native of Alexandria, cosmonaut L. Popov.

The Vasyl Sukhomlynsky Memorial and Pedagogical Museum was opened in 1971 at Pavlyska Secondary School, which has been managed by an outstanding teacher since 1948 for 22 years. Here he conducted his long pedagogical experiment, as a result of which he created an original system of raising children. The museum fund has more than 20 thousand storage units. The pedagogical documentation of the school of 1950-60s, manuscripts of literary and scientific-pedagogical works of Sukhomlinsky, personal documents are presented. The atmosphere of the study and apartment of the Sukhomlinsky family is preserved. You can see the school grounds: several educational facilities, a school garden, green classrooms.

Svitlovodsk City Museum of Local Lore is located in a historic building where the first builder of Svitlovodsk M. Karpov lived. It was started by a museum room at the House of Culture, opened in 1970. One of the most interesting expositions is dedicated to the legendary city of Krylov (since 1822 - Novogeorgievsk), which fell into the flood zone of the Kremenchug reservoir. Photographs of the missing city, copies of archival documents are provided. Separate exhibitions are devoted to paleontology, the events of World War II, urban planning.

The State Museum-Reserve of I. Tobilevych (Karpenko-Kary) was established on the territory of the estate, which belonged to the playwright in the XIX-XX centuries. The estate is named after Tobilevych's wife Nadiya from the Tarkovsky family. The founder of the Ukrainian theater settled here in 1887 after exile, turning the estate into a creative oasis in the middle of the Ukrainian hinterland. Rehearsals of the first Ukrainian theatrical troupe under the direction of M. Kropyvnytsky took place here, there were many luminaries of the Ukrainian theater, and Karpenko-Kary himself wrote his best works: "One Hundred Thousand", "Master" and others. The Tobilevych house, outbuildings, a summer theater, and a park with a pond have been preserved. The September Festival "September Gems" takes place every year.
