Sokal Art Museum "Man. Earth. Universe"

Art Museum "Man. Land. Universe ”in Sokal was created in 1985 by the family of Anatoliy and Natalia Pokotyuk, as well as G. Kostyuchenko. In 1990 the museum became a branch of the National Museum in Lviv, since 1995 - a branch of the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion. In ten museum halls there are exhibitions: "Man and the Universe", "Holy Ukraine", "Jesus Christ - the greatest of the sons of mankind", "Under the protection of the Mother of God", "What is truth", "In search of truth", "Space art "," Doctrine of life - a call to the future "," Taras Shevchenko - apostle of truth and beacon of spirit "," Kyiv-Mohyla Academy ". The museum funds documents from the history of Sokal region of the XVII-XIX centuries, rare materials about the famous Ukrainian composer V. Matyuk (from the village of Tudorkovichi in Sokal region), materials about the history of churches of Sokal region, spiritual educators and cultural figures, ceramics of the famous master XIX in. V. Shostopalts, samples of unique falcon embroidery, household items of the XIX-XX centuries.
