Korosten district is located in the northern part of Zhytomyr region, on the territory of Zhytomyr Polissya, on the historical lands of Drevlya. The river Uzh flows within the district. The nature reserve fund of the district includes Polissya and Drevlyansky nature reserves, tracts "Stone Village" and "Stviga", Grandfather Lake.
