Attractions of Pervomaisky district

Kryve Ozero Museum of History and Local Lore is located in the former house of the merchant Kreimholtz, built in 1848 by the Salamander Society. The museum keeps many things: documents and certificates of different times, photographs of different periods, a collection of ancient coins and banknotes of different times, antique clothes, embroidered towels. Archaeological finds, ancient household items, weaving and pottery are exhibited.

The Pervomaisk Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1927 by the famous archaeologist P. Kharlampovich. At the beginning of World War II, the museum had about 20,000 exhibits. Most of the collection was destroyed during the war, including the archeological collection, which was collected during the South Bug Archaeological Expedition of 1928-32 on the shores of the Southern Bug and its tributaries. The museum was restored only in 1985. Today it is a branch of the Nikolaev regional museum of local lore on the rights of department. There are 15 sections in which you can get acquainted with the history of Pervomaischyna from the Stone Age to the present. Visitors are constantly interested in the exposition "Village House" and the exhibition of holograms, which is constantly operating, which presents items from the most famous museums of Ukraine. Museum staff conduct tours of the city and its surroundings.
