The first museum of Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky in Ukraine was opened in 2004 in the village of Ruda near Zhydachiv. From 1660, for more than a hundred years, this village belonged to the Vyhovsky family. From their estate there is a house of the governor, which houses an exhibition reflecting the period of struggle for independence of Ukraine from the Zaporozhian Sich to the end of 1940-50's. In particular, a painting by an unknown artist (XIX century), which depicts the wife of Ivan Vyhovsky Olena Stetkevych. Among the exhibits - works of sacred art of the XVII-XIX centuries. The icon of the Ascension (an unknown artist of the second half of the 18th century) from the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the village of Yosypovyche in the Stryj Region, the family church of the Vyhovskys, is preserved here. The icon was restored in 2004 by employees of the restoration department of the Lviv Art Gallery. The museum exhibits objects of material culture found near the former castle of the hetman in the village of Ruda. Among the rare ones are oak doors from the Vyhovsky family church with a gift inscription of the daughter-in-law of Hetman T. Zavadska, the wife of Ostap's son.
