Remains of reinforced concrete structures of Hitler's pond "Wehrwolf" (Wehrwolf - werewolf, armed wolf) during World War II. The secret complex of the headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the German Armed Forces was built in 1941-42. in a forest grove near the village of Strizhavka near Vinnytsia. The complex had about 20 wooden houses and 3 ground reinforced concrete bunkers. In the central area were the main buildings: the Gestapo, a communications center, a canteen for senior management and officers, a tea house, 12 apartment buildings for generals and senior staff officers, and Hitler's house, which visited the Werewolf Pond in 1942, and 1943. Thousands of prisoners of war from different countries died during the construction of the complex (a monument was erected near the highway in Stryzhavka). In the spring of 1944, the bunkers were blown up by retreating Hitler troops. Impressive fragments of multi-meter-thick reinforced concrete scattered by forest explosions, as well as a swimming pool (fire tank) have been preserved. According to unconfirmed data, underground premises could be preserved (according to the legend, up to 7 levels). In 2011, a historical and memorial complex in memory of the victims of fascism was opened on the territory of the Werewolf, whose staff conducts tours (there are audio guides). Nearby, on the territory of the boarding house "Swallow", there is an exhibition of military equipment and weapons from the Second World War.
