Yakymivka Museum of History and Local Lore
The Yakymivka Museum of History and Local Lore was opened in 1972 in the center of the village of Yakymivka, in the premises of one of the preserved buildings of the former manor house, built in 1909 by a local merchant Potetenyev. Today, the museum has more than 2,000 exhibits that tell about the history of the region from ancient times to the present. In particular, the exposition includes many household items of the late XIX - early XX centuries, when Yakymivka became one of the largest points of grain trade in the Azov region: ceramics, decorative and applied arts of different peoples who lived in this area (towels, rugs, clothes, etc.). Якимівський історико-краєзнавчий музей відкрито у 1972 році в центрі смт Якимівка, в приміщенні однієї зі збережених будівель колишньої панської садиби, яку збудував 1909 року місцевий купець Потетенєв. Фонди музею налічують сьогодні понад 2000 експонатів, які розповідають про історію краю від найдавніших часів до сучасності. Зокрема, в експозиції багато предметів побуту кінця ХІХ – початку ХХ століття, коли Якимівка стала одним із найбільших пунктів торгівлі зерном на Приазов'ї: кераміка, вироби декоративно-прикладного мистецтва різних народів, що мешкали на цій території (рушники, килимки, одяг тощо). Окрема експозиція "Герої не вмирають" присвячена подіям Революції гідності й загиблим героям АТО.
