У 1941-43 pp. тут мешкав розвідник В. Лягін, керівник Миколаївського підпільного центру спротиву під час Другої світової війни. Музей містить багату колекцію документів, фотографій, предметів, які розповідають про боротьбу жителів Миколаївської області проти німецьких окупантів.
