The village of Moisevka on the r. Chumgak is located 20 km north of Drabov, 15 km from the M-03 (E-40) "Kiev - Kharkov" highway. Founded in the 17th century. on the way of immigrants from the Right Bank to Slobozhanshchina. According to legend, the founder was a Jew named Moisey (Moisya), who built a driveway halfway between Pereyaslav and Pyryatin. In 1796 the landowner P. Volkhovsky became the owner of Moisevka. Under him in 1804 the estate was built, and in 1808 - the Peter and Paul Church, which has survived to this day. T. Shevchenko, who was introduced to the landowners of the Volkhovskys by their godson, the fabulist E. Grebenka, visited Moisovka three times.
