Kid'osh

The village of Kidos is located 5 km east of Beregovo. One of the centers of Transcarpathian winemaking. According to legend, in the XII century. there was a monastery founded by the dethroned Hungarian king Solomon, the grandson of Yaroslav the Wise. In documents, Kidyosh (Kuyosh) was first mentioned in 1332. The ancient Gothic church of John the Baptist, built in the XIV century, has survived. on the basis of the chapel of the XIII century. Nearby, in the town of Kerek, there is a 12-meter cross.

Село Кідьош розташоване в 5 км на схід від Берегового. Один з центрів закарпатського виноробства. За легендою, в XII ст. тут був монастир, заснований посунутим з трону угорським королем Соломоном, онуком Ярослава Мудрого. В документах Кідьош (Куйош) вперше згадується в 1332 році. Зберігся стародавній готичний костел Іоанна Хрестителя, побудований в XIV ст. на основі каплиці ХІІІ ст. Поруч, на річці Керек, встановлено 12-метровий хрест.
