The village of Kvasovo on the river. Borzhava is located 15 km east of Beregovo. According to one of the versions, the name is associated with the Old Slavonic word "kvass" (mineral water), and according to the other - with the Hungarian word "kvarckavics" (flint). For the first time, Kvasovo was mentioned in 1390, when the village was received from the Polish king Sigismund I by master J. Nadmigaya.
