The city of Baranovka on the river. Sluch is a located 35 km south of Novograd-Volynsky. It was first mentioned in 1565 in Lithuanian sources. A porcelain factory has been operating since 1802, and a porcelain museum has been opened. The Church of St. Stanislav Kostka was built in our time.

Porcelain factory "Baranovka" opened in 1802 ots. businessman M. Mezer, buying land for him from the magnates Lubomyrsky-Valevsky. The raw material was clay, which was mined nearby. The utensils made at the factory decorated the palaces of nobles and emperors. Having changed several owners, the Barani porcelain factory continued to operate during the Soviet era and until the early 2000s remained the country's leading enterprise in this field. The company is currently closed, but the city has private mini-porcelain factories. The Baranivka factory has had a museum since 1952, which exhibits samples of products that are over a hundred years old.
