The village of Bronka on the banks of the river. Borzhava is located 35 km north of Khust. It was first mentioned in the 1454 century, although as early as the XIII century. there was a feudal castle here. Roman coins found on its territory suggest that during the time of Dacia there was a Roman guard post here. According to legend, the Bronetsky castle belonged to the robber knight Brynda on a three-legged horse, who terrorized the local population and robbed neighbors. From historical sources it is known that Bronka was conquered by the Galician princes several times.
