Pylypets is one of the largest villages in Mizhgirya, a ski resort at an altitude of 700-750 m. The village is located on the banks of the mountain river of the same name on the Mizhgirya-Volovets highway. According to legend, it is named after the founder of the shepherd Pylyp. The wooden church of the Nativity of the Virgin (1780) has been preserved. There is a Museum of Models of Wooden Churches, which presents 30 models carved by the folk master A. Vorobets. The village of Pylypets is famous for its beautiful mountain landscapes. From here begins the tourist route to the picturesque Shypot waterfall, which hosts the hippie festival of the same name every July on Ivan Kupala.
