The village of Svalovichi is located in a remote place in the middle of the wilderness Polesie bogs and forests on the banks of the river. Pripyat at the confluence of the river. Stokhod near the Belarusian border. Refers to endangered settlements - the population today is less than 30 people. In ancient times, Svalovichi belonged to the Pinsk princes, later they were a royal village, and in 1702 they became the property of the Pinsk cornet Korzhenevsky. Later it belonged to the Charnotsy family. In 1796 the village became a part of the Lyubeshovsky volost of the Pinsk district of the Minsk province. During the Second World War, the village was burned down by the Nazis, but it was revived in the authentic wooden style of the 19th century, thanks to which it now resembles a living museum ...
