Borshchev - the city on the river Nichlava, 25 km from the highway Ternopil-Chernivtsi. Known since 1456. It is believed that the name is associated with a popular dish of Ukrainian cuisine; in September, the annual "Festival of Borshch" is held. In the city, noteworthy is the Church of the Mother of God (18th century), the bell tower of which was rebuilt from the defensive tower of the 17th century castle, as well as the "Ruskyy House", where the local history museum is located. Due to the presence of several hotels and other tourist infrastructure, the city is a convenient base for traveling around the surrounding area: Bilche-Zolotoe, Krivche, Ozeryany, Visechka.
