General information about Museum of Folk Architecture and Life "Shevchenkivsky grove", Lviv (Lviv)
The Sheptytsky Museum of Folk Architecture and Life "Shevchenkivsky Gai" is located on wooded hills in the eastern part of Lviv, behind the High Castle. It is divided into six ethnographic zones, representing the life of different nationalities of Western Ukraine: Boyko, Lemko, Hutsul, Bukovina, Podolsk, Volyn. There are more than 120 architectural monuments from the western regions: 6 churches, houses, a smithy, a school, a sawmill, a loom, a water mill and a windmill. The oldest exhibit is a peasant house from 1749.
Музей народної архітектури та побуту імені Шептицького "Шевченківський гай" розташований на лісистих пагорбах у східній частині Львова, за Високим Замком. Розділений на шість етнографічних зон, що репрезентують побут різних народностей Західної України: бойківську, лемківську, гуцульську, буковинську, подільську, волинську. Тут зібрано понад 120 пам'яток архітектури із західних областей: 6 церков, житлові будинки, кузня, школа, тартак, сукновальня, водяний млин і вітряк. Найстаріший експонат – селянська хата 1749 року.
