Museum of the Air Force of the Army of Ukraine, Vinnytsia

The Military History Museum of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Vinnytsia was established in 2001 as a museum of the Air Force of Ukraine. In 2005, it was replenished with an exposition dedicated to the air defense forces, which were then structurally part of the Armed Forces. The museum is located on the territory of the former General Staff of the Air Force of Ukraine in Vinnytsia. In Soviet times, it was the headquarters of the 24th Air Army, and before that - the headquarters of the 43rd Air Force of Long-range Aviation, which was formed in 1949 on the basis of the 2nd VA DA. Військово-історичний музей Повітряних сил Збройних сил України у Вінниці створено у 2001 році як музей ВПС України. В 2005 році він поповнився експозицією, що присвячена військам ППО, які тоді структурно увійшли до складу ЗСУ. Музей розташований на території колишнього Головного штабу командування ВПС України у Вінниці. В радянські часи це був штаб 24-ї Повітряної армії, а до того - штаб 43-ї Повітряної армії Далекої авіації, яка була сформована у 1949 році на базі 2-ї ВА ДА. В музеї зібрано безліч зразків авіаційної, зенітно-ракетної, радіолокаційної техніки різних часів. Експозиція налічує 16 літаків різних класів, починаючи від навчального літака Як-11 та закінчуючи винищувачем четвертого покоління Су-27, а також 4 гелікоптери.
