Museum of Hetman Peter Sagaidachny
The museum of Hetman Petro Konashevich-Sagaidachny was opened in the village of Kulchytsia, where he was born in 1570 in the family of a local nobleman. From here he went to study at the Ostroh Academy, and then went to the Zaporozhye Sich, later becoming one of the most prominent politicians in the history of Ukraine. In 1992, a monument to Sagaidachny was erected in Kulchytsia. The Sagaidachny Museum was opened in the premises of the former primary school. The exposition includes about 900 exhibits. Since 1993, every third Sunday in April, the Sahaidachny Memorial Day has been held annually near the monument to Petro Sagaidachny.
