The village of Trostyanets above the river of the same name near Ichnya was founded in the 18th century. Since 1820, these lands belonged to a representative of the noble hetman family of Skoropadsky. Here is the arboretum "Trostyanets", founded in 1834 by the grandfather of the last Ukrainian hetman I. Skoropadsky (buried on the territory). Skoropadsky's wooden palace has not survived (there are two outbuildings left, restoration is in progress). The artificially created mountainous relief is characteristic. Trostyanetsky park has 1700 different types of trees and shrubs, 250 ornamental flowering plants. Now it is a dendrological park run by the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Green tourism is developing in the wake of tourist interest in the park in Trostyanets. ...
