Palanka village is located on the E-50 highway near Uman. Founded in the 16th century. It was part of the possession of the Kalinovs' magnates. It was destroyed after the War of Independence. Restored with the assistance of Colonel M. Khanenko from Uman, who at his own expense built the Church of St. Paraskeva (not preserved). For some time Palanka belonged to the owner of Uman S. Pototsky, then went to the treasury.
