Pikivets'

A small village east of Uman, 1 km from the Kiev-Odessa highway. Known since the 18th century. Traces of settlements of the Late Bronze Age (XII-IX centuries BC) were found on the territory. According to one version, the current village was founded by settlers from the town of Pikovo in Vinnitsa. According to another version, during the War of Independence, spearheads were forged here, where the name comes from. The wooden church that stood in the center since the founding of the village has not survived. Flowing along the southern edge of the river.
