Dobroslav

The village of Dobroslav (formerly Kominternivske) is a regional center 40 km north-east of Odesa, on the highway towards Voznesensk. It arose in 1802 as the serf village of Antono-Kodintseve. Its appearance and the first name are associated with the name of the landowner of the Poltava province, Anton Kodintsev, who bought land here and resettled some of his serfs here. In 1818, at the expense of Captain Kolmogorov, the stone church of St. Barbara was built (revived in 2002), and in 1862 a parish school was opened. Since 1849 Antono-Kodintseve was officially considered a town and a volost center.
