An old village above the river. Sluch in a picturesque area known as "Nadsluchanskaya Switzerland". The history of the settlement began in the 15th century. from a stone castle built on a high cliff above the river, the romantic ruins of which still adorn the landscape. In the XVI century. the castle was twice destroyed by the Tatars, but the owners rebuilt it. Only in 1708, when Swedish troops completely destroyed the village during the Northern War, the surviving residents were forced to move down the river, and the castle was no longer rebuilt.
