Korostiv

The village of Korostov is located on the international highway M-06 "Kiev - Chop", 8 km from Skole, right after the turn to Slavske. It has been known since 1715. The name comes from the neighboring polonyna Korostovets, or from the surname of the first settlers Korostovchakov. The wooden church of St. Paraskeva (1874) has been preserved. Korostov is a convenient intermediate point for overnight stays when traveling abroad through Chop, as well as when traveling in the Carpathians - there are several motels, restaurants and gas stations. In Korostov, the project "Golden Forest Railway" is being implemented, which provides for the reconstruction of an 800 m old railway and the creation of a Museum of a narrow-gauge railway.
