The village of Kozhichi is located on a small hill at the exit from Lviv in the direction of Yavoriv and the Ukrainian-Polish border crossing "Krakovets", near the beginning of the Lviv district. Kozhichi were first mentioned in documents in 1518, although the first settlement appeared here in the 4th-6th centuries. The name is probably associated with the main activity of the population - artisans who were engaged in leather dressing lived here. The wooden church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross (1870) has survived - a three-frame one-topped temple with a small bathhouse, which is completed by a traditional lantern with a dome.
