The resort village of Cherche is located 5 km from Rohatyn in the direction of Lviv. Known since the 15th century, the name is associated with the Chernech field, which belonged to the monastery. The wooden church of St. Basil of the Boykov type (XVI century, 1733) and a later wooden church in the center of the village have been preserved. Since the XIX century. Cherche is developing as a balneological and mud resort. Hydrogen sulfide waters of the "Matsesta" type and peat mud are used for medicinal purposes. The local sanatorium specializes in the treatment of diseases of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. It is planned to restore the villa "Bogdanovka", where the Ukrainian writer B. Lepky lived.
