The village of Starunya between Bogorodchany and Nadvornaya is known for mineral deposits, archaeological finds and natural anomalies. There were found 17 settlements of ancient people of the 7th-5th millennia BC, the remains of mammoths, woolly rhinos. The village of Starunya is considered one of the oldest settlements in the Bogorodchansky District (XIV century). According to one of the versions, the treasures of the Bogorodchansky castle were hidden on the territory of the village of O. Dovbush's opryshki. For a long time, a layer was mined here. At the end. XIX century. industrial mining of ozokerite began. The wooden church of St. Paraskeva (1920) has been preserved. Tourists are attracted by the only active mud volcano in Ukraine, which arose after the 1977 earthquake.
