The village of Bolshovtsy on the river. Rotten Lipa in the Dniester valley is located 10 km north of Galich. It was first mentioned in 1404 as Bolshev, Bolshovets. In 1617 the crown hetman M. Kazanovsky became the owner of these lands. He invited monks of the Carmelite order to Bolshovtsy, who in 1624 built the Annunciation Church in the Baroque style, which has survived to this day.
