Haishyn

The village of Gaishin on the r. Trubezh is located 5 km north of Pereyaslav. Known since the 18th century. as a Cossack settlement. Perhaps the founder was the Cossack R. Gaysha. In 1870, the wooden church of St. John the Theologian was built, which has survived to this day. In the north-eastern outskirts of the village are the remains of an ancient Rus settlement of the XI-XIII centuries.

Село Гайшин на річці Трубіж розташоване в 5 км на північ від Переяслава. Відоме з XVIII ст. як козацьке поселення. Можливо, засновником був козак Р. Гайша. В 1870 році було побудовано дерев'яну церкву Іоанна Богослова, що збереглася донині. На північно-східній околиці села знаходяться залишки давньоруського городища ХІ-ХІІІ ст.
