The village of Nikitintsy is located on the banks of the river. Pistynki 15 km south of Kolomyia. Founded in 1375. Named after one of the founders Nikita Karpyak, who arrived here from Rohatyn (according to another version, from the village of Barvinkovo). The wooden Church of the Exaltation (1859), a stone cross in memory of the abolition of serfdom (1848) have been preserved. During the opening of the monument to T. Shevchenko in 1989 in Nikitintsy, for the first time in the Kosovar region, national flags were freely raised.
