A village on the r. Prut 10 km from Kolomyia. Founded presumably in the XII century. Prince Roman Mstislavich, where the name comes from (on the slope of Mount Urvishche there are the remains of the prince's castle). Residents have long been engaged in salt production. Tourists are attracted by the Yew Reserve (1914), more information about which can be found in the Museum of Nature. The main value is berry yew, the oldest tree is 500 years old. A recreational zone with observation paths and places for recreation has been created, and a private hotel business is developing.
