Chernyk

The mountain village of Chernik is located on the territory of the "Gorgany" nature reserve, 25 km south-west of Nadvirna. It has been known since the 18th century, when residents took part in the rebel movement of the oprishki. In the beginning. XX century. the famous ethnographer and folklorist A. Onischuk lived and worked as a teacher in the village, who was repressed during the Stalinist terror (a monument was erected, a museum was opened). On the territory of the village there is a picturesque Chernitsky waterfall.

Гірське село Черник розташоване на території заповідника "Горгани" в 25 км на північний захід від Надвірної. Відоме з XVIII століття, коли жителі брали участь у повстанському русі опришків. На початку XX ст. в селі жив і працював учителем відомий етнограф і фольклорист О. Онищук, репресований в період сталінського терору (встановлено пам'ятник, відкрито музей). На території села є мальовничий Черницький водоспад.
