Shybalyn

The village of Shibalin on the r. Tsenyuv is located on the outskirts of Berezhany towards Ternopil. It was first mentioned in 1475 as the property of the gentry A. Romanovsky. Until 1939 Shibalin belonged to the Polish landowners Senyavsky, Lubomirsky, Czartorysky, Pototsky and others. XX century. there was only a small Catholic chapel in the village. In 1925, the construction of a large stone church began, and three years later the temple was consecrated. During the years of Soviet power, the building was damaged, but it has been completely preserved to this day.

Село Шибалин на річці Ценюв розташоване на виїзді з Бережан в бік Тернополя. Вперше згадується в 1475 році як власність шляхтича А. Романовського. До 1939 року Шибалин належав польським землевласникам Сенявським, Любомирським, Чарторийським, Потоцьким та ін. До початку XX ст. в селі була лише невеличка католицька каплиця. В 1925 році почалося будівництво великого мурованого костелу, і через три роки храм було освячено. За радянської влади будівля постраждала, але повністю збереглася донині.
