Sytniaky

The village of Sitnyaki is located on the Kiev-Zhitomir highway not far from the border of the regions. Founded in 1616 by the landowner S. Lozka. In the XVIII century. Sitnyaks were part of the Rozhevsky eldership, which was transferred by August III to the gentry V. Mikhalovsky. After the partition of Poland, they again became a state-owned village. In the XIX century. under the Sitnyaki there was a Jewish colony. A monument to the victims of the Holodomor was erected.

Село Ситняки розташоване на трасі Київ-Житомир неподалік від кордону областей. Засноване в 1616 році поміщиком С. Лозкою. В XVIII ст. Ситняки входили до Рожевського староства, яке було передано Августом III шляхтичу В. Міхаловському. Після поділу Польщі знову стали казенним селом. В XIX ст. при Ситняках існувала єврейська колонія. Встановлено пам'ятник жертвам Голодомору.
