Ivankiv

The village of Ivankov on the river Teterev is located 80 km northwest of Kiyv. It has been known since 1589, when the Kiyv bourgeoisie T. Proskura transferred these lands to his son Ivan, who founded a settlement and named it after his own name. However, in the southeastern outskirts, on the territory of the park, there are traces of an ancient Rus settlement of the X-XIII centuries. There was a castle in Ivankiv, dismantled in 1834. There is an Orthodox church, a church, a synagogue and a prayer house. At the entrance from Kiyv and in the center, there are monuments to the victims of the Chernobyl accident, which is located just 50 km from the village. In 2000, the "Egg of Life" sculpture was installed as a symbol of rebirth.

Селище Іванків на річці Тетерів розташоване в 80 км на північний захід від Києва. Відоме з 1589 року, коли київський міщанин Т. Проскура передав ці землі своєму синові Івану, який заснував поселення й назвав його своїм ім'ям. Однак на південно-східній околиці, на території парку, збереглися сліди давньоруського городища Х-ХІІІ ст. В Іванкові існував замок, розібраний в 1834 році. Є православна церква, костел, синагога та молитовний будинок. На в'їзді з боку Києва та в центрі встановлені пам'ятники жертвам аварії на ЧАЕС, яка розташована всього в 50 км від селища. В 2000 році встановлена скульптура "Яйце життя", як символ відродження.
