Onufriivka

The Onufriyevka is a village 25 km south of Kremenchug. Founded in the 17th century. as a winter house of the Cossack Onufrienko. Then these lands belonged to Michael Kombourlei. His daughter Catherine married Count Mikhail Tolstoy, who lived in Odessa. They went to Onufriyevka on summer vacation. Their son Mikhail set up a park in Onufriyevka (51.7 hectares, 150 species of trees and shrubs) with ponds connected by sluices and dams lined with granite slabs. Ponds lined with willows and poplars. Many old trees have survived in the park: oaks, lindens, maples. There is a juniper grove and Love Island.
