Vyacheslav Lypynsky Memorial Museum

Palace / manor , Architecture , Museum / gallery

The Vyacheslav Lypynsky Memorial Museum in Zaturtsy was opened in 2011 in a restored manor house of the ancestral estate of the Lypynsky noble family. The house was built in 1871, a park was laid out around it. Vyacheslav Lypynsky, a prominent Ukrainian historian and public figure, was born here in 1882. He spent his childhood and adolescence here. The unique collection of personal belongings and documents of V. Lypynsky and his family was collected thanks to his relatives living abroad. The first editions of the historian's works, various documents (certificate of maturity, record, diploma of Hetman Pavel Skoropadsky), portraits of family members are presented. Fragments of the interiors of the house were recreated: "S. Lypynsky's Cabinet", "Gostinna", "V. Lypynsky's Cabinet".
