Uhlove

The village of Uglovoe is located near the coast of the Kalamitsky Gulf of the Black Sea, 25 km west of Bakhchisarai. The resort area is located in the bay between the Kermenchik and Lukull capes. It was first mentioned in 1688 as the Tatar settlement of Adzhi-Bulat on the way from Gezlev to Balaklava. Before the Soviet administrative reform, the village belonged to the Duvankoy volost. In 1944, almost all the inhabitants of Aji-Bulat were deported to Central Asia, and in their place were brought in immigrants from the Oryol and Bryansk regions, and the village was renamed Uglovoe. As a resort Uglovoe is little known, although there are several boarding houses with developed infrastructure. Mainly vacationers are accommodated in the private sector.
