Vysoke

The village of Vysokoe is located in the middle of the Second ridge of the Crimean Mountains, 10 km east of Kuibyshevo, 30 km from Bakhchisarai. It has been known since the 13th century, when a fortress of the principality of Theodoro was built on the Fortress mountain on the western outskirts of the village (ruins have survived). From it comes the Crimean Tatar name of the village of Kremanchik (small fortress). The Church of the Holy Trinity, known since 1310, has not survived, but in the village you can see the ruins of another of the 14 ancient temples of Kermenchik - the Assumption of the Virgin.
