The large village of Dashev is located on the banks of the river. Sob 25 km north of Gaisin. It was first mentioned in the 15th century, when there was a castle surrounded by earthen ramparts. In the XVI century. J. Zbarazhsky rebuilt and fortified the castle, making it his residence. In the XVII century. Dashev was the handicraft center of Podillya. During the War of Independence under the leadership of B. Khmelnitsky, the Dashevsky castle was captured by the Cossacks, there was a Cossack hundred.
