The regional center Gaisin is located on the bank of the river. Sob, on the Vinnitsa-Kropivnitsky highway. It has been known since 1545, when the city was part of the Bratslav Voivodeship. In 1659, King Jan Kazimir granted Gaisin to the Zaporizhzhya foreman Maxim Bulyga. Since 1795 - the county town of the Gaysinsky district of the Podolsk province. Known jams and preserves produced by the Gaisinsky cannery.
Райцентр Гайсин розташований на березі річки Соб, на трасі Вінниця-Кропивницький. Відоме з 1545 року, коли місто входило до Брацлавського воєводства. У 1659 році король Ян Казимир подарував Гайcин запорозькому старшині Максиму Булизі. З 1795 року - повітове місто Гайсинського повіту Подільської губернії. The Museum of Local Lore of the Gaisin Region was established in 1995 on the initiative of the veteran organization of the Gaisin Region. The museum is located in the former house of the director of the men's gymnasium - an architectural monument of the early twentieth century. The museum of local lore preserves objects of material and spiritual culture of both the past of this region and its present. The exposition presents samples of weapons from the Second World War, objects of urban and rural life of the XX century, icons of the XVIII-XX centuries, folk ceramics of the Bubniv plant, works of Ukrainian decorative and applied art.
