Urban village on the Kalets River (right tributary Kalchik), 25 km from Mariupol. Founded in 1831 by the Cossacks. In 1831-55. Khutor Gladky was called. From 1855 to 1924 - the village of Staronikolskoye, Nikolskoye. There are no attractions. Since 1924 - Volodarskoe. In 2016, the village was returned to its historical name Nikolske.

Nikolske Museum of Local Lore occupies a separate one-storey building in the center of Nikolske. It has a large exposition about the history of the migration of Greeks to these lands, and about what happened throughout the 180-year history of this village. The collection includes more than 8,000 items. The decoration of the nature hall is a diorama of the "Stone Graves" reserve. On the territory of the museum there are open-air expositions for demonstration of large stone tools of agricultural work and monuments of Polovtsian tribes - the so-called "Polovtsian women".
